Car Parking & Public Toilets

ON-STREET PAY AND DISPLAY PARKING

Devon County Council are responsible for on-street parking. Days and times that charges apply do vary across the County but will be stated on the pay and display machine and road signage where you park. Carefully check the charging information when you park.  Weekend and Bank Holiday charging periods may be different to those that apply Mon-Sat.  Charges will apply on all Bank Holidays, except Christmas Day, unless stated otherwise.

Customers are advised to use the RingGo but our machines do accept coins

The Blue Badge scheme only applies to on-street parking. Badge holders have free use of parking meters and pay-and-display bays.

Civil enforcement officers patrol most principal roads daily. It is a driver’s responsibility to check for any restrictions so please make sure any ticket or permit is clearly displayed.

ILFRACOMBE TOWN COUNCIL operate Ropery Road Car Park EX34 9EF – Level to Seafront & Harbour – with surplus from the parking fees being reinvested into the town. There is an electric recharging point in this car park.

NORTH DEVON COUNCIL CAR PARKS

Car park charges apply in all NDC car parks in Ilfracombe from 8am to 6pm Monday – Sunday. Customers are advised to use the RingGo system.

Opening times – Most council maintained toilets are open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm, subject to the cleaning rota. Some of the toilets are open 24 hours a day. During the winter (November to April) some cubicles or facilities may be closed.

Cleaning and maintenance – Toilets are cleaned regularly to ensure a high standard of cleanliness. The team also regularly monitors the toilets for damage relating to vandalism, aiming to sort out any problems quickly. They will always try to keep the toilets open during  cleaning and monitoring. However, if there is vandalism, they may need to close part of a toilet or the whole facility whilst repairs are carried out.

Disabled access – NDC are always looking for ways to improve public toilet facilities. Most of our toilets have disabled facilities.
