Ilfracombe Sea Safari

Based at Ilfracombe pier on the North Devon coast our passenger boat trips depart daily from February-October and are suitable for all ages.

We run a ten metre Humber RIB “Pioneer” and two eleven metre Humber RIB’S “Lundy Explorer” & “Voyager” they will take you at speeds of up to 20 knots along the coast in complete comfort in search of dolphins, seals and porpoises all with the back drop of our coastline of Outstanding Natural Beauty including Lundy Island. Due to the exceptional stability of the vessel the trips are even suitable for those who don’t usually travel well on boats.

Escape the crowds and join us for an unforgettable experience. We provide lifejackets but recommend you dress according to the weather conditions , so you are able to travel whatever the weather in complete safety and comfort!

All of our skippers are first aid trained and hold RYA commercially endorsed qualifications as well as various other navigation and diving qualifications and are all involved or have been involved with Ilfracombe Lifeboat station. All our Ribs run on twin 300hp & 325hp Suzuki 4 stroke engines which have also won a 3* rating for emissions for a four stroke.

So here at Ilfracombe Sea Safari’s we do our upmost to protect the environment and the wildlife that lives along our coastline by using the best equipment available to us as we believe it is key. All 3 Boats are licensed for 12 passengers and 2 crew.

Our boats are also available for private charter.
