All Things Morris

In 2023 – 10 Morris sides came to dance – they came from as far afield as the Isle of Wight & Oxfordshire as well as Cornwall and the wider Devon including local sides, Ilfracombe Red Petticoats, Borderline Morris from Barnstaple & Bideford Phoenix. On both Saturday and Sunday there was Morris dancing around the seafront and other areas of the town.

The activity started on Saturday at 10.30am with a parade of dancers from the Pier to the Seafront and with dancing all afternoon. On Sunday also there was our classic & vintage vehicle show ‘Morris & Friends’ all along the seafront with the presentation of prizes at 3pm. The winning Morris was a 1937 Morris 8, Series 2 four door saloon.

There were food and craft stalls on the Seafront. Look out for the 2024 event.
