North Devon AONB Marathon & Half Marathon

29 June 2025

Marking its 17th year, this iconic marathon takes place on Sunday, June 29 and boasts a stunning route that stretches across the South West Coast Path and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (where the race gets its name).

The reputation of this event has grown with runners coming from across the UK and abroad to tackle the legendary course, which offers as many stunning views as it does challenging hills. The multi-terrain course involves roads, trails, beaches, fields, steps and the incredible South West Coast Path.

Those taking part will be starting off from Woolacombe and covering a 10k (6.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), or full marathon distance (26.2 miles) of gorgeous coastline before celebrating crossing the long-awaited finish line with a delicious cream tea.

All monies raised through sponsorship are donated to North Devon Hospice so they can continue to provide free care and support to families who are affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

To find out more and register for this spectacular event go to www.northdevon-aonb.org.uk or search for the race through North Devon Hospice.
