Established in November 2013 Combe Crumpets is the Ilfracombe branch of the Women’s Institute.
The Women’s Institute (WI) was formed in 1915 to revitalise rural communities and encourage women to become more involved in producing food during the First World War. Since then the organisation’s aims have broadened and it plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.
As lockdown restrictions start to ease some of our shops, takeaways and public facilities are starting to re-open in Ilfracombe for locals and day visitors alike. Accommodation and visitor attractions remain closed but are hoping to re-open for 4th July depending on Government guidance. Whilst our businesses will be taking every precaution to keep visitors and customers safe, we would ask that you adhere to the social distancing rules and stay alert yourselves to help prevent the spread of the virus.
