Ilfracombe in Bloom

We are a group of local residents who work together to improve the town, hopefully making it a greener, cleaner and more beautiful place to live, work and visit, by organising the planting and distribution of troughs and displays throughout the town centre and by gradually taking over/creating pocket garden areas, planting sustainably where possible. We have a regular working party each week tackling specific areas of the town as well as working with other groups and liaising with many businesses and local organisations.

Ilfracombe in Bloom have once again excelled themselves and won  Champion of Champions Gold Cup in the South West in Bloom Awards –  Congratulations to all those volunteers who work tirelessly to make our town look so beautiful.

Most years we’ve entered South West in Bloom, in 2019 achieving the Champion of Champions Gold Award.  It’s Your Neighbourhood entries, Cairn Conservation Carers, Cow Green Community Garden and Community Resources (Devon) CIC and Holy Trinity Graveyard Group came away with awards from Thriving to Outstanding. Berrynarbor received Gold in the  Mary Mortimer Cup, local business Hele Valley Holiday Park again received Gold.
