Ilfracombe Infant & Nursery School
Although the school is over a hundred years old much has changed in the way it looks and feels. The original Victorian red brick building is home to our kitchen, the school office, a library, a small hall and 4 classrooms with access to outdoor learning spaces. From here you enter a large spacious extension built in 1997 which contains 10 further classrooms, a large atrium space, a large hall and a purpose built early years environment. There is a further external classroom with additional learning space for a variety of educational purposes. With easy wheelchair access throughout the school and a wide range of outdoor learning spaces, we believe we have a fantastic building with excellent facilities and resources.
As well as the main building we are also fortunate to have a purpose built nursery and an outdoor swimming pool on the same site.
Overall, our school buildings provide a nurturing, stimulating and creative environment for children to feel safe, valued and inspired. Enabling them to experience a full range of activities and make the most of their learning.
