Established since 2001, this exciting, award winning, all weather, family attraction is the ‘GO-TO’ attraction whilst in Ilfracombe
Celebrating it’s 22nd year the recently extended and improved, LOCAL AQUATIC EXHIBITS remain a lovingly-cared-for, collection of living exhibits displaying up to 75 species of aquatic animals from around North Devon. They provide a unique and fascinating zoned journey of discovery from the source of an Exmoor stream down river to the coast and beyond – to Lundy and it’s Marine Nature Reserve. Complimentary children’s quizzes following fun trails are offered on entry.
Friendly, caring, knowledgeable staff are on hand to help. They offer engaging conversation, feeding demonstrations and sensory experiences.
The aquarium also offers the FUNKY FISH GIFT SHOP where a great range of good value, unusual aquatic themed gifts can be purchased. THE PIER CAFE provides a wide variety of hot & cold delicious, sensibly priced, quality products. These are available to enjoy either via table service or takeaway. Our café space provides all weather protection and also extends into a sheltered, relaxing, south facing harbourside environment. Free WIFI.
