Join the National Trust for a weekend of tree planting at Ilfracombe Tours on the 13 & 14 December. Be a part of planting over 10,000 trees to benefit both people and nature as we work to create a broader range of habitats across the Ilfracombe Tours.
Whether you love getting your hands dirty, want to make a real difference, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved. No experience is needed, and all ages are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult).
The planting is part of a major project to restore woodland and improve habitats along North Devon’s coastline. By creating a richer mix of habitats, the work will help restore fragments of Atlantic rainforest, capture carbon, and support a greater diversity of wildlife. It’s all part of the Trust’s wider ambition to see people and nature thriving by building a more resilient landscape.
Essential kit will be provided, but please bring your own gloves if you have them.
Limited parking is available at National Trust Torrs car park, if you are local please consider walking up. Public car park are also available in town, including Wilder Road car park and Jubilee Gardens Car Park.
