Can you help us create space for nature? Join the rangers at Morte Point for a day of family Volunteering
Join the ranger team as we cut back gorse and overgrowth of vegetation to create more space for nature and allow rarer species including maritime grassland and wildflowers, to flourish.
Suitable for children aged 6 and upwards (children under 6 are most welcome but the task is quite physical). All tools and training will be provided.
Please park at Mortehoe carpark (charges apply) and head towards Morte Point (past the graveyard). Keep an eye out for our rangers in red who will be working in the area, you will be able to spot the controlled fire.
The event is free and will run from 10am-3pm but you are welcome to come and go as you please.
What to bring and wear
Tools are provided, but please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy shoes and bring along a water bottle, snacks and packed lunch.
