Follow the trail points and explore the great outdoors\, plus don’t forget to pick up your chocolate egg or free from alternative on completion. \nThe trail runs from Saturday 28 March – Sunday 19 April (10am – 4pm) and costs £3.50 per child including a trail map and chocolate egg. DESCRIPTION:Join the ranger team as we cut back gorse and overgrowth of vegetation to create more space for nature and allow rarer species including maritime grassland and wildflowers\, to flourish. \nThe event will run from 10-3pm but you are welcome to come and go as you please. Suitable for children aged 6 and upwards (children under 6 are most welcome but the task is quite physical). All tools and training will be provided. \nHow to find us: Head to Marine Drive car park\, where signs will direct you to the site locations. Keep an eye out for the rangers in red who will be visiable.

SUMMARY:North Devon AONB Marathon & Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Marking its 17th year\, this iconic marathon takes place on Sunday\, June 29 and boasts a stunning route that stretches across the South West Coast Path and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (where the race gets its name). \nThe reputation of this event has grown with runners coming from across the UK and abroad to tackle the legendary course\, which offers as many stunning views as it does challenging hills. The multi-terrain course involves roads\, trails\, beaches\, fields\, steps and the incredible South West Coast Path. \nThose taking part will be starting off from Woolacombe and covering a 10k (6.2 miles)\, half marathon (13.1 miles)\, or full marathon distance (26.2 miles) of gorgeous coastline before celebrating crossing the long-awaited finish line with a delicious cream tea. \nAll monies raised through sponsorship are donated to North Devon Hospice so they can continue to provide free care and support to families who are affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. \nTo find out more and register for this spectacular event go to www.northdevon-aonb.org.uk or search for the race through North Devon Hospice.
