DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual Autumn Gala  on the 27th & 28th of September. This year is a very special gala as we celebrate Railway 200. We will be recognizing the unique role that narrow-gauge engines have played in two centuries of railway history around the globe. \n  \nVisiting Locomotives \nNot just one but three visiting locomotives are confirmed to be joining our home fleet for the weekend. Scroll down to find out more about these locomotives and our home fleet engines. \n– Kerr Stuart Wren Class  ‘Peter Pan’  – Visit courtesy of Graham Morris. \n– De Winton ‘Chaloner’ Visit courtesy of David Fisher and the Leighton Buzzard Railway. \n– Planet locomotive ‘Boothby’ courtesy of the Westonzoyland Engine Trust /  Westonzoyland Pumping station. \nOn Sunday there will be an international parade of all locomotives on site uniting nations\, manufacturers and engine types illustrating their unique stories and contributions. \n  \nOther Event Highlights Include \nEntertainment \n\nIntense and varied timetable\nClassic cars on display\nMiniature traction engines at Woody Bay\n16mm Garden Railway\nMiniature Railway\nLive Music during the two days\nMarquee attractions and stands\nKids garden games & bouncy castle (free once on site)\n\nGreat Food & Drinks \n\nReal Ale & Cider Bar: Great selection of hand-picked Real ales and Ciders\nBarbecue: Serving burgers\, sausage and bacon baps.\nWoody Bay Tearoom: Serving a selection of hot/cold drinks\, hot pasties\, sausage rolls\, local sandwiches\, cream teas and cakes.\n\n  \nTicket Prices \nWe are offering a pre-booking discount to visitors who per-booked online via our website! \nPlease see below a list of prices for this year both in advance and on the day! \n\n\n\nTicket Type\nPre-booked (Online)\nOn the Day\n\n\nAdult\n£14.00\n£16.00\n\n\nYoung Person (14-21 years\n£8.50\n£9.00\n\n\nChild (Under 14 years)\nFree\nFree\n\n\nDisabled Person\n£8.50\n£9.00\n\n\nCarer\nFree\nFree\n\n\nFamily (2 adults & up to 3 young people)\n£36.00\n£38.00\n\n\n\n  \nPlease be aware since this is a special event discounts like National Trust members\, 50% off returning customer etc\, are not valid either of these days. \nTravel in comfort in our first class compartment! \nFirst class upgrades will be available on the day at Woody Bay Station from 11:30 onwards. DESCRIPTION:Join us for some dinosaur fun at Woody Bay Station! Ruby the Megalosaurus and her adorable baby dino friends will be exploring the station throughout the day! Please see the L&BR website regarding roaming meet and greet times! Come along to meet Ruby and friends\, take part in our kids trail\, explore the woodland and see what dinosaur tracks you can find! \nTravel in style with our specially decorated dinosaur themed carriages for the weekend. Services will be running throughout the day from Woody Bay Station down to Killington Lane return. \nWhy not take part in our free kids trail around Woody Bay Station\, small woodland\, plus Killington Lane. \nPick up your free trail sheet and pencils from the Station Shop\, all children receive a free sticker for every completed trail sheet! \nTearoom & Station Shop: The Tearoom will be open both days from 10:00 till 16:00\, serving a range of light refreshments including hot & cold drinks\, sandwiches\, warm pasties\, sausage rolls\, cakes and cream teas. Along with our Tearoom our Station Shop will be open with a range of dinosaur goodies available to purchase. \nDirections & Parking: We have a large free carpark available at Woody Bay Station\, this includes disabled parking. Address for Satnavs: Lynton & Barnstaple Railway\, Woody Bay Station\, Parracombe\, Barnstaple\, EX31 4RA
