Rotary Club of Ilfracombe

Our Club was founded in April 1926 with 13 members to help our communities, a grass-roots organisation consisting of those that volunteer time, talent and resources in order to remedy vital community needs.

1939 saw our Club raising nearly £9000 to help the war effort.  Over the years our Club has raised many hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities and local organisations such as: ND Hospice, Children’s Hospice SW, Chemo Unit at Barnstaple Hospital, North Devon Brain-injured Children, Ilfracombe in Bloom, St John Ambulance, Slade Community Centre, Cub Scouts, International projects and countless others.  We also continue to work closely with our local schools, including Ilfracombe Academy in supporting the youth of our town.
