Be a part of planting over 10\,000 trees to benefit both people and nature as we work to create a broader range of habitats across the Ilfracombe Tours. \nWhether you love getting your hands dirty\, want to make a real difference\, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors\, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved. No experience is needed\, and all ages are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult). \nThe planting is part of a major project to restore woodland and improve habitats along North Devon’s coastline. By creating a richer mix of habitats\, the work will help restore fragments of Atlantic rainforest\, capture carbon\, and support a greater diversity of wildlife. It’s all part of the Trust’s wider ambition to see people and nature thriving by building a more resilient landscape. \nEssential kit will be provided\, but please bring your own gloves if you have them. \nLimited parking is available at National Trust Torrs car park\, if you are local please consider walking up. Be a part of planting over 10\,000 trees to benefit both people and nature as we work to create a broader range of habitats across the Ilfracombe Tours. \nWhether you love getting your hands dirty\, want to make a real difference\, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors\, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved. No experience is needed\, and all ages are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult). \nThe planting is part of a major project to restore woodland and improve habitats along North Devon’s coastline. By creating a richer mix of habitats\, the work will help restore fragments of Atlantic rainforest\, capture carbon\, and support a greater diversity of wildlife. It’s all part of the Trust’s wider ambition to see people and nature thriving by building a more resilient landscape. \nEssential kit will be provided\, but please bring your own gloves if you have them. \nLimited parking is available at National Trust Torrs car park\, if you are local please consider walking up. DESCRIPTION:Join the ranger team as we cut back gorse and overgrowth of vegetation to create more space for nature and allow rarer species including maritime grassland and wildflowers\, to flourish. \nThe event will run from 10-3pm but you are welcome to come and go as you please. Suitable for children aged 6 and upwards (children under 6 are most welcome but the task is quite physical). All tools and training will be provided. \nHow to find us: Head to Marine Drive car park\, where signs will direct you to the site locations. Keep an eye out for the rangers in red who will be visiable.
