Follow the trail points and explore the great outdoors\, plus don’t forget to pick up your chocolate egg or free from alternative on completion. \nThe trail runs from Saturday 28 March – Sunday 19 April (10am – 4pm) and costs £3.50 per child including a trail map and chocolate egg. DESCRIPTION:The annual Jack-in-the-Green event is all about releasing the ‘spirit of summer\, a green clad procession complete with giants\, Brigid\, seen in spring as the manifestation of growth and renewal\, are joined by her partner\, Bres\, and a new tree giant\, Thorne\, and drummers makes its way through the town to the seafront. \nMustering from 10.45am in Wilder Road Car Park they parade through the High Street\, Fore Street & St James Place ending at the Clapping Circle above Wildersmouth Beach.\nAt the Clapping Circle where they dance the May Pole children from the audience are invited to join in the dancing\, then ‘Jack’ will be stripped of his leafy coverings to welcome the Spirit of Summer. \nEveryone is welcome to join or watch the May Day parade – just turn up and if possible wear something green.
