DESCRIPTION:See one of the highlights of Ilfracombe’s summer events calendar – the Ilfracombe Pilot Gig Club Regatta. Wander down to the harbour where you can watch the racing in action and cheer on all the rowers. \n \nWe race in boats which are precise replicas of those which were common on our coast 200  years ago.  Each is crafted carefully from Elm wood. \n  \nThere will be a BBQ throughout the day and live posting of results. \nOnce the racing is over and all boats are in the trophy will be presented to the winning team. \nClubs took part from all parts of the South West including Dorset and Cornwall have taken part in our Regattas.  . The categories are:  Ladies B – Mens B – Ladies A – Mens A – Ladies Veterans – Mens Veterans –  Ladies Super veterans – Mens Supervets – Mixed & Junior.

DESCRIPTION:2025 will see 15 Morris sides coming to dance – as well as from Cornwall and the wider Devon they come from as far a field as California\, not to forget our local sides\, Ilfracombe Red Petticoats\, Borderline Morris from Barnstaple & Bideford Phoenix. \nOn both Saturday and Sunday there will be Morris dancing around the seafront and harbour areas all day as well as food and craft stalls on the Seafront. \nThe activity starts on Saturday at 10.30am with a parade of dancers and musicians from the Pier to the Seafront. \nThis event is free and is brought to you by Events 4 Ilfracombe.
