We are a group of people that enjoy re- enacting life in the Victorian Age. We attend events at our local National Trust property several times a year and take part in local and national events and festivals. We hold a festival here in Ilfracombe in June with a very varied programme to suit all.
We are all volunteers who fundraise throughout the year to put on the Festival, with grants and sponsorship if we are lucky. Visitors to our Festival include Cowboys from the American States, Steampunks who add a fun/bizarre angle to costumes and events, and the Amazing David Alexander and his Victorian Theatre. We have displays of vintage vehicles, concerts, shows, exhibitions, a Grand Ball, competitions and a parade. Also a charity Victorian Garden Party, Bathing Belles, Suffragette Rally and Teddy Bears picnic for the younger children.
This year will include an event on Monday 15th June to commemorate the 800 years since the signing of the Magna Carta.
