The Darnley Hotel was built in 1921 and still has a lot of original features throughout.  Situated at the start of the High Street and a stroll away from the Seafront.

The Darnley Hotel is set in it´s own private gardens visited by wildlife and very tranquil.  It´s an ideal base for many walks The South West Coast Path and Torrs Walks.  The Tarka Trail ends just at the end of the road for cyclists.  Perfect for surfers at Croyde and Woolacombe.  Lynton and Lynmouth are a lovely day out or Exmoor Zoo.  The Ilfracombe Harbour is brimming with Pubs and Restaurants.

From Tourist Information Centre turn right out of car park to second set of lights, turn right, then left at roundabout, next right into Church Hill.Turn first left into Belmont road,The Darnley Hotel is 50 yds on the left under a walled arch.

From M5 jct 27 M5,follow the A361 through Barnstaple, when entering Ilfracombe turn first left, up Church Hill. Turn first left into Belmont road,The Darnley Hotel is 50 yds on the left under a walled arch.

Other transport

From Barnstaple take the No 21 bus to Ilfracombe and get off on Wilder Road.  Back track to the War Memorial and walk up Church Hill, at the top of the hill cross the road on to Belmont Road the Darnley Hotel is on the left.
