There are a host of events & festivals in Ilfracombe & the surrounding area throughout the year for all of the family to enjoy. In Ilfracombe itself, we have the 'Jack in the Green' festival on Mayday with processions, maypole & Morris dancing and the Ilfracombe beer festival.

June sees Victorian Week eight days of events throughout Ilfracombe to celebrate it's Victorian past, with pageants, suffragettes and Victorian bathing belles, mock courts, spooky ghost walks, Victorian Grand ball and Old Time Music Hall culminating in a huge firework display over Capstone hill.

In July we have powerboat racing and the Ilfracombe Tennis Tournament.
Plenty to see & do in August with the South West Birdman competition, Rescue Day and The Ilfracombe Carnival.
Further afield but within easy reach is Startrek, a charity night time walk for teams on Exmoor, The round Lundy Yacht Race, Creationfest, a popular free Christian music festival and the Lynton & Barnstaple Steam Railway Gala.
